Bethany De La Cruz, LPC

Bethany is approved by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Bethany received her Master of Science degree in Counseling from the University of North Texas and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology from Spring Arbor University.

Bethany believes that individuals can possess within themselves an ability to determine what is best for them in a given situation through God’s power and direction; this ability can be supported and grown within a safe and non-judgmental counseling relationship. She specializes in working with children in individual play therapy, and parents in individual, couples, and group filial (child-parent relationship) training. In therapy with individuals across the lifespan, she strives to encourage holistic wellness through increased awareness of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, at the client’s pace.

Child Parent Relationship Training

Bethany is a pastor’s kid who has learned and grown in her own personal relationship with God since she was 6 years old. She enjoys spending time in the sun, eating ice cream, doing arts and crafts, hunting for yard sale deals, antiquing, hiking, and watching comedy and home improvement TV shows. Bethany has traveled to a few different countries, including Ecuador, Cambodia, and the Dominican Republic. She has gained some personal understanding of multicultural joys and challenges upon marrying her husband, who was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. Bethany enjoys learning about different cultures, with particular interest in artistic expression, lifestyles, historical impacts, communication, spirituality, and coffee!
